Tangible I is a desk lamp with a flexible spring-balanced arm which offers a variety of associations with human gestures.
If the lampshade is bent down the lamp „goes to sleep“ and the light dims down. If it is moved out of this position, it takes on a upright posture and the light dims up to the same intensity that was last chosen.The intensity of the light can be controlled by stroking the upper pivot arm of the lamp.

Tangible Light has the smoothness of a digital device - without a classic switch. It makes use of our tendency to see human characteristics in things. The light intensity is immediately controlled by the „posture“ of the lamp.
